The wood is classier and makes the car look $5k more expensive imho. You gotta respect the Shavalong..... Liverpool FC and KC Chiefs for life....

I am getting the wood trim since I had a bad experience with aluminum trim in my Infiniti FX. I accidentally dropped an iPod mini on to alumium trim, and now there is a dent! Sure it is a small crater, but it stands out and cannot be easily fixed. If it had been an wood trim, I could have just buffed the scratches out.
Also, if you get scratches perpendicular to the brushed grain, it is not a pretty sight!!! My Infiniti was scratched by service department during routine maintenance. If you have little children who likes to throw things or a careless spouse, I would stay away from aluminum trim.

I've seen too many cars with cheesy fake wood, given lots of cars are using aluminum look plastic now too,

but the aluminum trim is undeniably real, it is what it is
wood always looks a bit fake to me, even when it's not

My wife's TSX has the fake metal trim which marks up very easy I think b/c it's fake. Mine does not mark like hers. I am going out on a limb to suggust yours wasn't real either, hence the problem(s). Of course this is said just for info purposes and not to change your mind or to suggest you made the wrong choice.

Nissan's have HORRIBLE interior quality. That has been a problem for them. I would be suprised if the metal trim in the Infiniti was real considering the overall lack of quality that plagues them.

This is your opinion and taste, I, for one, do not agree.
I think the aluminium looks better, more modern. If you want to use the term "classy" you already refer to things owned by "upper class", as in older, more conservative. The E90 is not a Rolls Royce, it's a driving machine! Not something to peddle about in while admireing the wood trim, as you where in your mansion living room (IMHO)

Me thinks they need a firm but gentle knuckle thump on the noggin!
