E88 roof swap DIY

Does anyone know of a roof swap DIY for an E88. Just the fabric which includes the rear glass. I've searched.....no luck so far.

AFAIK the whole roof assembly just bolts on/off? Should be able to confirm just by looking at the mounting points in the rear.

Like, whole roof assembly including the folding frame etc ? Sounds like a lot of unnecessary work....dunno, maybe it's easier that way. I'll have a closer look, thanks.

Is the canvas damaged or is the glass separating from the canvas? I have a E88 128i and the glass was pulling away from the fabric. As long as the fabric is still attached to the glass on either the top or the bottom it is not too hard to repair. If the glass is all the way out you are screwed. I paid a guy $50 at a top and upholstery shop to fix it first. He used a 3M adhesive that was designed for convertible tops. It didn't hold well. So in a last ditch effort I used an adhesive called E6000, you can buy it just about anywhere. It has held very well for about 6 months now.

Yeah, failing that, I cut a piece of perspex to size and glued that in the place where there was glass (which holds dead easy because it weights a fraction of real glass). It's not wonderful, but it's about $3,000 cheaper than replacing the roof.
