It will just be plain easier AND cheaper to upgrade my 135 and rebadge it!
Quad tip exhaust - check
New rear diffuser - check
new tires and wheels - check
rear spacers - check
e-prom for 335hp - check
M badge - check
write a - check
But I'll be driving mine well before anyone else and with spare checks in my wallet!
And I don't care if the rebadging offends some senses. It is my car...Eat my dust.

If they sell out, you can bet they will produce more for the 2012 model year. No one said that this run is a lifetime production number... it's just for 2011.

Look at the lack of success the Z4m's had...in three model years 2006-2008, only sold 1,815 coupes in the US and 3,042 roadsters.

If you really want a 1M, go ahead and buy one
Thank You.

And when you consider that a portion of those upgrades are merely visual, it gets even easier

Does the M3 uphold the applied M engineering principals? Then why do they offer a vert?

Having gone through your posts it seems you delight in attacking others without offering any substantial comments yourself. You have somehow taken it upon yourself to be the arbiter of all things "M". Frankly, YOUR comments are illogical and unimportant. Go troll elsewhere.

if all the m division cared about were lap times they wouldn't offer anything in a manual either

But hey just keep insulting me, that really makes your point more correct

Last "thing" I heard use the word - "illogical" was a robot on Dr Who.
I believe he went down in flames.

And yeah, I'll know in my heart I'm not driving a true M, but I WILL be driving a true M-e.

Like the driver who traded for a Carrera...If you love it, drive it...If it's not your ride............Shudddup.

If the 1M is suppose to be a more 'track focused' as apposed to the M3 which is more GT then a convertible 1M does not make sense as most tracks restrict convertibles unless proper roll bars are installed ala Porsche Boxster, S2000, etc.

The M3 Convertibles are engineered from the ground up, to be a convertible... but when given the choice, which one is more track bound?

Understand now? (No?)
We all know there is not time, nor a reason to even develop an 1M convertible. So how is it a deal breaker, let-alone worth while thought to bring up every 5 minutes? Specially when the ONLY advantage is wind in the hair...

Convertibles are oxymoronic.. when //M stands for performance.
///Marketing.

Get over it.

You've said so more than once..

You make me laugh guy, you really do

and I know what makes an M an M. It's called being purpose built for homoligation in a racing series. But that particular car hasn't existed since 1992.

So in reality no modern M car is actually worthy of the M moniker...but I digress

The first M was the M1, than the M5 and than the E30 M3 so the current M thinking isnt that far off from the old days, with the E30 and M1 as the homoligation specials but not the M5 (as is the current M3 GTS? and some of other M specials)

I feel compelled to lash out and insult others? Perhaps you should go back and read your own posts. You have posted approximately 100 times. Over 90 have been degoratory comments directed at those that don't agree with you. You feel the need to berate anyone that doesn't share your view of what an M should be.

As for the M3 vert being "engineered from the ground up" you could not be more wrong. The M3 vert was designed and based upon the coupe platform. Understand now? (No?). Sad that you fail to really understand the situation.

And while we're at it, if you want something that stands for performance, learn to spell P-O-R-S-C-H-E. There is no substitute.

Troll on.
