For me, the Porsche handled amazingly well but just felt like it didn't have enough power.
It drives fantastic. The engine builds power in a very predictable fashion. It sticks to the road like glue and is easy to control when accelerating out of the pocket. I just personally feel that, for that price, you should be getting more bang for your buck. My personal choice would be a modded 135 over a stock 4s. The handling isn't anywhere as perfect as the Porsche, but it's just more.... fun. |

I realise that N55 pumps all that torque at a low rpm...but ...but.....I would appreciate anyone who could chime in this topic. I love my 135 though...I love it as much as my wife hates it( she can't drive a stick) |

The 1'er doesn't photograph well from some angles but in that picture I actually think it looks better than the bug-eyed Porsche. Blasphemy, I know.

I'm fortunate in that I own both. Two 993's and the 135i.
All are different in their own way. The 1'er is smooth, powerful, very fast, and extremely agile. I call her "The silver bullet". She begs to be flogged. My '95 993 coupe ( 'The beast" ) is well planted w/ a clubsport suspension. The sound of an air-cooled flat six is intoxicating. It is 273 HP, normally aspirated and r/l in third gear tops out around 90mph. The '95 993 cab is 4 wheel drive w/ a touring suspension, loaded with leather ("Evergreen"), and much easier to drive, almost more of a woman's car. (No offense intended to the ladies). It was $104K when new in '95. It is hard to single one out as best, but if I was allowed to keep only one it would be the coupe. Not to say I don't love the 135i because that would be farthest from the truth. I smile every time I drive it. It is mush faster than the normally aspirated 993. I've driven a 996 and found it too plastic and small inside for my taste. None are daily drivers so there is a tremendous sense of occasion every time I turn the key, it doesn't matter which one. Regards, .

I suspect my next car will be a 993 C2S. Definitely the direction I'm heading at this point in my car interest.
