How long do you think it'll take to get there from the Lake Forest Oasis? Meet there around 8:00'ish?

From what I saw on the forecast last night, it looked like Sunday is supposed to be sunny and 70...should be a nice morning.

It first rained the day I filled up with 100 octane and switched to Map 7 on my JB4. haha I got to do a couple pulls yesterday after work picking up pizza which was nice.

One of my buddies has been pushing this event over on 6Speedonline and a couple of his Mercedes/AMG forums. Based on e-mail replys alone there should be 50 cars, but you know how that goes, half the people might not show up for one reason or another or we might get twice that number so we figured we better move the location to be safe. This location is only an extra 5 minute drive for anyone coming from the north, sorry for the last minute change of venue.

This location has a much larger lot that we can probably fit 100 cars into if need be. I'm sure the weather is going to play a big role in our numbers, my Weather Channel app is calling for 75 and partly sunny for Naperville Zip Code 60564

Awesome. Yeah, great weather, great location, and lots of publicity, this should make for an awesome event. Can't wait.

I'll have to fill up on more race gas before the weekend. I'm having way too much fun on Map 7 to go back to Map 1 or 2. I'm spinning my tires everytime when I do 2nd gear pulls on the street. The great part is 100 octane costs $0.23 more than 93 out my way.

Let's hope the rain holds out for tomorrow...
I'm gonna be rolling with no spoiler tomorrow. Last week I pulled my factory trunk lid off the car and put a carbon fiber one on with 3m tape...Right away on my drive home I noticed one of the sides not adhering to the trunk. All week I kept trying to keep pressure down on it to no avail...it never stuck and looked like crap. So this morning I just pulled the whole thing off again...it looks a little funky but I'm just gonna use the beta-link it came with and have it put on properly this week...

What time should I be at the O'Hare Oasis tomorrow? I haven't washed my car and doubt I'll have time in the morning. I figured since there's a chance of rain why bother. haha

if we leave on time from the Lake Forest one at 8, I'd say like 8:20-8:25...it's looking like it's going to rain but only til midmorning (so says ABC7 news on their fb page) What a waste of life to wash my car and spend an hour drying it today....

I can be there around that 8:20 no problem. My gf was going to come along and she lives near the oasis in the Norridge area. I'll probably just do a quick power wash on my car to clean the wheels at least in the morning. Sometimes I hate wasting gas/cleaning products if I know it's just going rain after I wash the car. I usually spend 2-3 hours just washing the car/wheels and then maybe an hour claying it. I still haven't clayed my car this year since winter. I got a lot of those brownish dots from the salt on my car. I can spend almost 30 minutes to an hour on one side of the car. haha
