I'm also keen to do this. Anybody know what kind of paint to use? I'll attempt this myself.

You want to paint your stock calipers yellow? C'mon man, it's a 135i, not a V6 Mustang.

Bruno,

In your case it may not be worth it.. you would totally have to sand and prep your calipers and then have them painted.. not like the ricers do with some tape and a spray can....

as i will be having the Perf Brakes soon, i also like the color .... but i think you could save that money and buy a Helmet !!!!! LOL

Regards,

Alex..

I painted my stock 128i calipers with a kit that I got from JEGS. I think it was by duracolor. The contents of the kit was a big can of brake cleaner, a few flux brushes, and a can of high temperature paint. You clean the caliper and then brush on paint. I think it was about $20. My stock calipers were bare metal, however. I do not know if this paint would work on painted calipers. There are a variety of colors but I doubt any are exactly the same as BMW uses on their performance brakes.

I used the same kit for my Miata.. but the difference is our calipers were bare castings with a rough surface. i just neede to hide the surface corrosion that drove me nuts, so i chose black.

This wont be the best way for the OP, as his 135 Calipers are already smooth and shiny from the factory... as i said above, they would require alot of prep work to be painted IMO..

I'm pretty sure he has the Perf Brake kit, so there was no prepping/painting involved on his end.

oh that's right, just saw the drilled rotors

The rear calipers also come in yellow with the perf brakes?

It's prob a good thing that the 135 gets the performance brakes to begin with.. but it ruins it that it's the same brake because now I really don't want to pay all that money just for the looks of yellow calipers and drilled rotors... which explains the post i guess

I love mustangs but I'm doing this for the gains. I'm hoping to get at least 5kw at the wheel. Plus it looks fully sick

I was hoping it was just a case of giving it a good clean and painting over it
