same size wheels front & rear

The 135i as everybody knows has a tendency to understeer.
This could be solved using the same size wheels and tires on all 4 corners, for a more neutral feeling.
Has anybody tried using 18" x 8 1/2" wheels and 245/35-18 tires all around?
Will they rub on the front?

Yes it's been done. It requires camber plates up front to fit.

To note: Even if camber plates were not required for a square setup to work, or if the car came with a square setup from the factory. The car would still heavily understeer due to the lack of front negative camber. These cars desperately need that modification.

Charles,
I was planning on buying 2 additional 261M rear wheels 18" x 8 1/2" and Bridgestone RF tires 245/35-18 , and installing them up front.
Will they fit without the camber plates?
Will camber plates if fitted, make the the inside of the front tires wore much faster?

You will need 10mm spacers for the front to work.

Yes you will need a spacer

The OEM 18x8.5 ET52 will catch the front strut.

Mine is 8.5" ET43 and there's only around 3mm clearance to the damper.

Like the guys above have said, be careful with strut clearance first of all. Since you are running a 8.5" wheel and a 245 tire, you might also watch to watch out for outside clearance since rubbing issues may occur without a fender roll since 245's a bit wide.
