Need a good dealer in NYC area?

Anyone know of a good dealer in the NY area that returns calls and takes good care of customers?

I love BMWs and want to continue buying them but their service depts are HORRENDOUS.

Go to JMK BMW in Springfield,NJ. Ask for Mark Carvalho. He's an enthusiast like us, takes great care of you, and wont jerk you around. Also their service department is excellent.

Rallye BMW is great in long island, and in bayshore there is Habberstad BMW at Bayshore (there are two habberstad locations - huntington and bayshore. i only have experience with bmw bayshore)

yeah - i never "serviced" with them persay, but the people there are top quality.

here are my only two experiences with them.

march 2011 - i crack a rim on the 1er and got the best internet price on a new front rim from getbmwparts.com at 350 shipped, but with ground shipping and i needed the wheel ASAP. i called every bmw dealer near me and non had it in stock and couldnt get it for a week. Once i spoke to Keith at parts at bayshore, he had the wheel in stock AND matched my internet price (without shipping costs). I picked up the wheel the next day (it was the end of the day when i spoke to him). he was a GREAT guy

i spoke with Keith mid december about getting the dinan s2 software for the n55 installed. he had an SA call me back about it, and it turns out it was the SA my friend recommended to me - Filipe (i forgot the last name) - also a GREAT guy. he had me in and out in about 2 hours from when i got there, great accomodations at the dealership. i didnt walk around sales like i wanted to but their waiting room had a TV and internet - perfect for me to catch up on some work.

long story short (well not that short) - the guys at Bay Shore Habberstad are top quality guys who care about what they do and take pride in providing you with the best service possible.

i highly recommend them over other dealers ive used in the past.

+1 on Westchester, Pace, Morristown

sometimes shopping around is a key, last year when I wanted 135i performance brake kit installed in my former 128i (kit also warrantied by the dealer) I started off with quotes over $2100 (labor only)
Morristown ended up doing the job for low $600's so few calls can save you a bunch.

Thanks a lot guys. I just want to find a good dealer that will call me back when they say they will, and who'll do a good job.

Bayside is not bad, and the SA that took care of me was really nice, but they are a little slow to call back, and they even complain about their phone system....impossible to get through on the phone the first few times.

Just was getting frustrated not hearing back from them.

Appreciate the input!

Bayside is the worst. I refuse to bring my car there, and the service dept is 3 minutes from my house.

I would rather drive 30 minutes to get real service.

I hope that's point enough.

I've been good. Not around as much since I turned in my 1er. With the growing family it was being more difficult to live with on daily basis. I had to settle on more family oriented car. But I picked up a "project car" and will be out with BMWCCA test and tune at the end of march.

Quick question, does Rallye offer Loaners to customers who bought a BMW elsewhere? Just picked up a '08 128i from BMW of Bayside but no loaners available until Feb 18th =(

Used Michael @ Bayside for service, hes was good, did everything as promised not hidden fees, charges or surprises. Comp car wash.

To buy i used Dan @ Number1, he had a much lower price than 6 dealers in my area (including Bayside who really dont pick up their phone), no haggling
