Thinking about buying an entire Griots detailing package with their buffer, thoughts?

Anything to stay away from? Most of what I have read about Griots has been positive. Zaino sounds good, but I don't have time to put on 4 coats of polish and wax over a 12 hours period.

Input welcome!

What are your plans with your paint? Do you want to remove your swirls and then are you looking for the simplest way to upkeep your paint?

Are you looking for the max shine?

If you use ZFX with Zaino, you can bypass the normal 12 hour cure time.

Griots looks ok, but I haven't found a whole lot of people using there products.

Also, what type of car wash plans do you have for your car. Will you be washing yourself, or taking it to a car wash?

Yeah curious here too about which products are best with (at best) medium amount of time spent. Usually run my cars through touchless car washes...but willing to hand wash with the right products and procedures!

A co-worker uses Griots stuff and loves it. He bought the buffer and the machine polish package (the one you are looking at) and he was very happy. He said he follows the directions that came with it and gets very good results and it is easy to use. I've seen his red M3 and the paint looks very very good. He is an avid car entuthiast and he saw the Griots products at a car show and has swore by them ever since.

I use a lot of Griot's products. IMHO the best one stop for car care products, not cheap but not too expensive either.

not sure i would ever go with just one brand....i think there are brands that have the best product for w/e step you want to do respectively. I personally like Chemical Guys for a lot of products, however when it comes to polish i like Menz.

A lot of opinions about what products are best but the only way to decide for yourself is experiment. No matter what you decide, the car will appreciate some sort of protection!

Just in case you guys didn't know, the Autopia forum is a HUGE detailing forum with tons of recommendations and opinions of tons of products. I highly suggest at least perusing through/doing a quick search on the forums just to get an idea of what you're buying before taking a plunge.

My children gave the Griot polisher and kit to me for Christmas. I show my Cobra and Corvette. When I used it for the first time on the Cobra, everyone noticed how good the paint looked. These are the same folks that have seen the Cobra since it was new and see it twice a month.

Griot's

So I was at the Griot's store/ headquarters here In Fife Washington, and all the products look really neat I was considering the package they have with the 6 inch buffer. Can anyone give me any feed back of 1st hand experience?

While I was there they did a small demo using the Speed shine and their clay bar and the section that they did turned out AMAZING!! I'm just scared to use the orbital machine !! He recommended the one step sealant on the alpine white.? he said I didn't need the depth that the darker colors need.

Anyhow would love to hear what you addicts have to say!

I bought about 600 bucks worth of griots including the buffer.. I like it very much.. Seems easy for a novice such as myself. I have used other stuff in the past.. Zaino seemed a little long winded for me but provided great results.. griots just gave me the best bang for the buck for the time I spent and will spend on the car..
