We are doing another RB turbo upgrade, here is a few pictures to get you all going.

it's so incredibly smushed.

ED: actually, is yours damaged? or on an XI? yours has even more dents than mine does, just one opposite the steering rack, and one smaller on the other side (as well as the one above the front turbo)

Yes for the steering column. Pete has straighten it out for someone before iirc - it just depends on how much clearance you would like .

Have a look sometime, there's nowhere near the need for THAT much clearance.. It's half crushed and inches away from the steering

I was planning on strapping a gopro/LED above it and recording it on a short drive, to suss out what's really needed but i can't imagine the engine moving much at all anyway? - will be done as soon as i can haha

That's very reassuring! Thanks

Any idea roughly how much it can be smoothed? I was thinking it'd probably be easy enough to cut it out and weld a plate on top (get someone else to, same thing lol) depending just how much room there is
