i dont know how much the stock one weighs but my cf hood weighs about 40 pounds.

I was told that dealers can not install the alarm post-build on cars built after March 2009.

well i wouldnt see why they wouldnt install it, but then again i guess it only applies to those who cares are built after 2009. ill ask on friday and see what they say.

changed the D1S bulbs to 3000k to match my angel eyes.

I believe it's because prior to March 2009, the alarm was a dealer-installed option, so all cars came pre-wired for it. After March 2009, it became a factory-installed option, so if you didn't get it from the factory, the wiring isn't pre-installed.

Very nice. Not to be picky

but you should add some performance pedals. It's pretty cheap and you would be amazed at how much it helps to set off the interior. Keep up the great work.

lol i know i was talking with the dealership about it, and when i go in for service i will definitely be getting a set of the performance pedals, the only thing is there are two kinds of pedals so they are trying to figure which one is the one that is "bmw performance"
do you have the part number by any chance?

for now i plan to leave it as is. since winter is coming and i wont be driving the car so its not a priority to paint the hood.
