Actually you're right, I don't think I ever had the issue when I raised my idle to 825rpm using ISTA. It only started when I undid the ISTA change and used MHD to target 850rpm (needed a bit more to reduce transmission rattle with SMFW).
I want to say that mine didn't do it before the idle raise either but I raised the idle but it would die out on cold start

Let's all drop the idle back down and meet back here with results
Sounds good. I'll probably flash the rpms back to stock tonight and monitor it for about a week.

It's a bitch to put in though, right?

Did you try it with the stocker? I'll be at about 18 with MHD Stage 2+

Regards,
I never attempted 18+psi on the stock diverter valve. I threw the DV+ in while completing the FMIC install, back when I was only running ~15psi, as a "while I'm in here let's just do it and never worry about it again" kinda thing.

Good sense in that. Anything worth doing is worth doing correctly.

I've seen/read that getting at that is a royal pain in the ass. did you do it or did a shop? You said you did it when you did the IC, did that make it easier?

Regards,

-Jim

Smaller hands and/or patience are required. FMIC removal isn't required (hell, it won't even help if you did), but yanking the inlet and hot side IC piping helps provide valuable room to work.

And yes I did it myself.

That's the link I bought from and I received the genuine article. No issues. Installed and forgot about it.
