ECS Teflon Shifter Bushings

I am thinking to order the shifter rebuild and upgrade kit from ECS and I noticed that the reviews say that the teflon shifter bushings do not fit and have to be modified. One of the reviewers contacted ECS and they claim that they sell lots of these bushings and that they fit. So who is correct? Anybody have any experience with these? Also, how hard is it to get at the shifter to replace the bushings?

Thanks!

I have ordered twice from ECS just an average review in my experience, I've started only ordering from Turner instead. ECS emails on this kit have been vast, watched a DIY and love to do it but looks like a 5 swear word labor needed job. If you install the kit I'd be eager for your review.

I've installed a set of these last weekend on a friends car and they fit fine.

I would say the UUC DBO ones (i fitted them in my car) are probably the better buy, they fit tighter in the carrier and have a piece that allows the bushes to push together.

2x of these sets (ie 4 pieces in total)

These bushes are well worth it (along with upgrading the rear carrier bush to the Turner motorsport poly bushing). They really help make the shift much more solid and precise

I rebuilt with the ECS bushings. Fit perfectly, and really made the shift feel/quality SOOO much better. Just make sure your car uses oval-shaped bushings, some don't.

According to RealOEM my car does have the oval bushings. Is that good enough or is there still a chance it does not?

That's what mine said, and it was, so I'd assume so.
