10/23/10 Fall BMW Meet / Mountain Drive

Hey Guys, It's Mohammad. Frank(achtunge30) and I have been discussing this for the last few weeks since we want to set up another Mountain drive. Everyone who attended the last one really enjoyed it and with the weather slowly growing colder and colder I want to have one or two before it starts snowing :P.

Anyways We're thinking of meeting up at the Top of Perkins Memorial Drive( Perkins Memorial Dr, Stony Point, New York 10980). Around 10:30 A.M. On SUNDAY OCTOBER 24th (changed the date). Head out for our drive that we pretty much have mapped out previously. The drive lasts about 1 1/2 to 2 hours max depending on traffic but it's a blast. ANy of the people who've come before will tell you it's awesome. After the drive we can go to the chillis thats about 10 minutes from Central Valley for food!

m3 sway? are you running stock suspension?

yessir. I was going to get a few more hard parts, but decided to spend that money on upgrading my tires. I was going to go with the KDW2s again but opted for PS2s instead. I'm afraid to drop the car at all considering I spend more time dodging potholes on the FDR then carving mountains unfortunately, but getting rid of some understeer and body roll would be enough for me for the time being.

People are actually comming to this one...damn i might have to show up. Is it worth driving down from cuse and pushing my luck again.

guess we can all see if I die the next time I try to keep up with Mohammad through a turn with my stock vert

I thought you were going to bite it on that turn just off the summit of bear mt.

The problem wasn't Mohammad though, it was that Ray was driving that bone stock 3er like he stole it.

my car is still out of town till Jan-ish I am off to europe for a week or so (Prague, austria and more) so you guys behave and see you soon!

Is there anyway to make it the 24th? Bear mountain is halfway to my school and it would make it much easier for me to show

lol just driving it like it was meant to driven

it did haul off pretty well, surprised me in more than a few sections

on a side note, we should bring walkie talkies this time around, just in case the group gets separated or whatever

Which direction do you go in, North? Is it 90-100 minutes to and from the same poiint?Most importantly, what about the food???
I'm not sure I can make Saturday, Sunday maybe - I'll try and figure something out.
