Nope should be SG...don't be trying to steal SGM's(Sparkling Graphite Metallic) exclusivity and abbreviation

^^^No big deal...Sparkling Graphite Metallic was only offered in Year 1 and is relatively rare these days....it is similar in some ways to Space Gray but has a different "sheen" to it....more purplish, bluish than silver....BTW love the trunk...considering getting one myself...

SG/SGM = slow gray metallic
Nice pics and I love the dull grimey backdrop in the first set of pics. Although my car is less aesthetically pleasing, I think we should do a B&W photoshoot sometime.

Yeah yeah yeah... We will see once the COBB comes out for the N55! Thanks, it is a great industrial location not too far from my house. We should do a photoshoot sometime. I was going to say invite onefastman and rxbmw, but I would be the only token Slow Gray car.

Car looks good but you need either more carbon fiber to pull that trunk off and some aftermarket wheels or to paint the trunk and leave the lip carbon fiber.

I like your style! SG/SGM looks great against old industrial fallout. Digging the CSL trunklid too!

Thanks!! I'm glad I found that first place that I shot. It is a very unique industrial building.

Don't paint it!!!
It blends well with a dark colored car. If you do anything, put a clear coat over it that it tinted so it looks body color from afar and cf up close. See m3 forum for examples.

The Ferrari F40 had such thin paint you could actually see the carbon fiber weave through it. That's what he's referring to.
Holy crap that hood is cheap....... kinda scary cheap. Makes me wonder if any of the hood latches and stuff will fit properly. May have to look into this. Probably single sided carbon and fiberglass underside. |
