Methanol Questions

I am currently installing the BMS FSB meth kit. 2 questions, what methanol mixture can it take without failing? And if I wanted to do a pre-meth dyno, do I just put it on map 2, then to get methanol, turn to map 3?

You can run 100% meth you just have to log it and see how safe the car is. You just risk a fire if it leaks, I run 50/50 to be on the safe side. You can also raise your meth additive for higher boost as long as you raise your octane with either an e85 mix or race gas. You can do a pre meth dyno on map 5 but do about 3 or 4 pulls so you can get an accurate reading. Map 5 takes sometime to learn your mods, then simply switch to map 3.

You can spray whatever you want, but do some reading into the chemical properties of methanol. It is fairly corrosive over the long term. I spray 70% meth when I run a meth map, my daily doesn’t spray as there’s simply no reason. If you plan on spraying over 50% meth, I would strongly encourage high quality fittings (aquamist) or better yet, stainless lines. People cheap out on a system that flows extraordinarily flammable and volatile fluid through your engine bay and into your motor. I’m always amazed at how casually some approach that.

Okay, so If I wanted to daily, I could just put it on map 5, and not have methanol flow.

You can spray meth daily i'm not saying it's going to blow your car to pieces. And unless you are driving it hard 24/7 or have meth set to spray at low boost/injector DC, you won't even be spraying all that often.

How do you know that the FSB is working properly when installed? Obviously other than letting the tank run empty, and seeing if it cuts boost.
