Bastard Child?

Is the 1er going to end up being the bastard child of the bmw aftermarket wheel industry?

Seems like the differences in offset are going to prevent a lot of manufacturers from creating 1er specific wheels, and with the cost of retooling being so high, would it be worth their while considering the limited amount of 1s?

I was planning on getting a set of fikse wheels but I'm beginning to rethink my plan for numerous reasons.

A small difference in offset is ok. And some can use spacers up to 5mm IMO. But I hope more wheels come out. I will never use any spacers.

there is nothing wrong with spacers. I can see if there to much trouble for you or something but don't give people the impression there is something wrong with using spacers. as long as you use spacer made for a BMW with the proper hardware there is NO issue.

While I agree with the statement that "there is nothing wrong with spacers", I must say that I would much prefer a wheel with the proper offset. I see spacers as a solution to a problem. I'd rather not have that "problem".

Give it time. The car hasn't even been out for a year yet.
