Wider fenders, is it possible?
As I'm sure many 135i owners feel the same way, since the 1M has come out I've been in love with the wider flared fenders. It has gotten me thinking...is it possible to go wider on the rear fenders? I have seen a company through the board that offers a front fender flare option which replaces the front bumper, front panels, and side skirts. But is it possible to do the rears as well? These are obviously much larger panels but is there anyway?
(Sorry after seeing the Rauh-Welt Porsche's at SEMA and thinking about the 1M a lot got me thinking. I have always loved the wide fenders.) |

LOL, we all want wider fenders. Customs seems to be the only way. It's not that hard if you have a competent bodyshop. I just don't wanna buy new wheels lol.

Maybe 1M rear fenders could work for us. Of course you would need custom off sets on the wheels but I don't see why not the 1M rear fenders

The problem is the rear fenders are tied into the "A" and "C" pillars. I'm sure theres a way to mold over and cut the original ones to give a flared look but again that would take a lot of work from a body shop to look correct.

When people say 'custom' is there a place where you go buy metal flares or will you have to have the body shop make them?
I was under the impression that since the 1M was limited that they were doing what they did with the CSL and you couldn't just buy replacement parts if you didn't actually have a 1M... |

I'm only talking about the surface sheetmetal. I don't know how its incorperated with the subframing or structure of the car but I'm fairly certain if it was damaged, they would have to replace the whole panel. Also if someone has already totaled a 1M, they should never be allowed to have an ///M car again.
