Thanks Nick, possibly IC and some suspension next... btw, I may be heading out your way on business soon, I'll let you know.

Thanks for that clip Tim, I think that captures the sound well. I think this is one exhaust you really have to hear in person to appreciate it.

OK so my Maddad axleback went on today.

I knew it would be quiet, but it is really quiet. I mean *REALLY* quiet. There are certain conditions where I think it's quieter than the stock exhaust even. It might be a tiny bit louder than the stock exhaust while cruising, but I'm extremely impressed with the maintenance of such a low volume.

Bonus: My quick and dirty weighing in the shop shows a 10 pound weight savings. Nice.

The exhaust is very quiet initially, the volume does go up a small amount after a couple hundred miles or so.

Agree, def increases in volume a bit. You will be impressed with the sound esp if your in another car driving behind or through a tunnel. Thats actually my favorite..turning off the radio, rolling down the windows and drop'n the throttle in a tunnel!

Cool. I have found that to be typical with most new exhausts.

Def was the case with the Milltek on my RS4 and the Supersprint on my M5. After a few hundred miles, they really start to open up. In my exprience, full break-in is at about 2K miles (i.e. sound becomes uniform, exhaust doesn't smell 'funny', etc.).

Gonna be dynoing the full Maddad midpipe and axel-back in mid/late Feb, so will post the numbers. Will do a weigh in as well, should be material savings, the stock pieces are a hog with the extra rear cats, resonator, and overall bigger packaging.

I weighed the OEM axleback and the Maddad unit and the savings was 10 pounds. Dunno about the midpipe section.

This might be obvious since it is quiet, but is there drone?

I'm looking for something that is civilized around town, but growls nicely at mid throttle, and roars at WOT...

It doesn't drone with catless downpipes I think I am going to be trying straight mid's also but I am guessing there will be drone associated with that, how much I dont know

I fully expect there won't be drone. One reason why Rich has taken so long so far, making sure drone is eliminated by tweaking (and in fact having in the first place!) mini resonators in the place of the stock secondary cats. One of the top reason why this is the exhaust of choice for me.

Last time i spoke with Rich he said no drone with the midpipes. He spends a LOT of time making sure the product is 100% perfect before sending them out.

You will def like the civilized sound of the maddad and the growl with WOT! Its only gonna get better with the midpipes
