That sucks - how is the dealership otherwise? My parents still live there, and they bought their Toyota down the street in the family.
Actually, I'll be in Doylestown Thursday, putting my crx away for the winter in the free garage. You're never too old to get parental freebees. |

Dealership looked alright...plenty of 1ers on the lot.
SA was an A S S If you buy there dont get it serviced there. Unless you want the car scratch and then to have some dum motherfaqer tell you how shallow the scratch is as he waxes the door

Just out of curiosity... anyone get their 1 serviced at Thompson? I usually like their customer service, free loaner etc... but I don't understand why they charge $62.50 labor plus $59.45 parts for an freaking oil change = $121.95 Looks like I'll be changing it myself from now on...

Never had an issue with Thompson BMW or Toyota..My wife has a Prius ....I actually go back and forth between Flemington BMW and Thompson..Never had an issue with either but I NEVER LET THEM TAKE IT THROUGH THE CAR WASH.....at both dealerships. For what it's worth Thompson has done a nice job for me on each visit ...I would not buy a car from them as they tend to be a bit higher than others and in Pa. they can not offer BMW Assist financing as it is illegal in Pa...They also tend to low ball trade ins...i walked out of there after they offered me 5 grand less on my trade than Flemington did...I still have the 1 but looking possibly to get back in to a manual trans ..which i miss. Thompson does have one of those LimeRock M3's on there lot as well as a 135is...Get thompson to fix the scratch.

Shrug,
Thompson won't be able to fix your scratch without spraying it (which you dont want) Try and fix it yourself. Send me a PM I'm in Doylestown and have some stuff that works for paint correction

I take my 1er to Thompson all the time. Almost monthly because of the constant issues with my car. They've alway been good to me but maybe that's because I'm there so often. DO NOT EVER let them put your car through the car wash. It's as if they use sand paper in the damn thing. They did it the first time I took it there and my entire car was swirled. I complained and they detailed it (not that good). I had to do it again myself.
