Can someone explain to me what a torsion bar does. Apparently porsches have torsion bars and sway bars. I'm befuddled.

The torsion bars are axially loaded shafts that act as an additional springs on the rear of the car.

They are on the front as well on my pops rig. but, why? Does it allow you to run a softer spring?

Of course. Use 5S to justify scrapping things that haven't been used in a while. Then you can buy them again in a few months when a customer reorders. Don't order anything parts that you need until they have to be expedited. Never use Google to find parts if you favorite distributors don't have them.

lol. I wish it was that easy. Ever heard of ABC inventory? its a painful switch from Make to order to having to inventory and ship from inventory. especially when you make 1,400 tons of material a week.
