Why has no one done this? Within 5 minutes on Google I found M3 racks from salvage yards for <$500. And a remanufactured one from BMW is like $1600 (+ $500 core). So yeah, not cheap, but it's not like no one on here has ever dropped $2k on their cars before. Is it really just a direct swap? Because it sounds like it could be a pretty awesome mod, after finishing up with all the M3 bits...

I figure labor for the swap won't be cheap plus this mod doesn't yield any performance gains. just a faster rack. I suppose if you've done everything else and you want that extra steering response then it's a good mod
