245/35/18 tire?

What is the Best extreme performance tire in this size? it seems at though the Kuhmo ecsta XS is the only one!!! and that is very frustrating!!!!!!!! are there other options for a street legal tire that kicks ass?

You are correct, the Kumho's are the ONLY ones in that size. You could go with Dunlop Z1's in 235/40 18. They are just as wide as the Kumho 245's and the turn-in response is superior.

Might as well try the XS. do they have a good rear tire size? So many people try the dunlops because of what other people say, that it's hard to get real opinions. Very few people have actually tried both. Everybody else is spews the advice they heard on the net.

The NT-01 is street legal I know 5 people around here that daily drive on them lol.

Kumho is good I used to daily drive/track them 5 years ago. I had 712's, Matrac(Marshal) and Kumho MX. The MX were amazing
I had Michelin Pilot(a few sets they were junk) My advice never let the name or price get to you.

XS is supposed to be a decent tire. There are a couple guys that run them at AX, arrutled.

I had the MX's and thought they were nowhere near as grippy as the then-popular Azenis RT-615, and they squealed like a pig. I'm pretty sure they alleviated those issues, and the XS is a good contender.

I believe I will be going with the XS. Tire-rack rates them very well in dry grip.
They have a 265/35/18 as well, so, it looks like a good fit for our wheels.
Not to mention anything beats run-flats!

NT-01 is not available in 245/35/18
Dunlop actually called me today after I sent in a bunch of emails to them, lol. Their answer....go with 255/35/18. Lame.

I use the 245/35/18 Kuhmo XS front and rear and I very happy, a great street.

I have tracked them both in the wet and dry and was happy, there not Dot-R's but there are good, wear was less then expected.
