OZ Racing is very dense. Help Needed.
So I emailed OZ Racing the other day about the lack of a proper 1 Series offset on all of their 9 inch wheels.
This is the response I got: Hi Mathew, Many thanks for your email - It’s nice to know we have some keen enthusiasts out there. Your correct in saying the fitment but I have to say all OZ wheels are TUV approved for the German and other European Countries meaning the wheel has to comply with road laws and indeed sit inside the fender. I can guarantee the wheels are made to suit and fit the car perfectly – If you haven’t already have a look at www.ozracing.com. Look forward to hearing from you, Kind regards, Michael. OZ Racing UK Ltd t. 0845 437 9905 f. 0845 437 9906 It seems that OZ are in denial of the fact that their wheels simply do not fit our cars. I was wondering if you could all help me out by email OZ about the issue at hand. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will do something about it. Thanks to All. |

Maybe they just do not realize the high offset of the 1er. Maybe you ought to tell him, since he's "Looking forward to hearing from you".

I already did. I even used Member scorcherjf as an example. Ive seen his OZs mounted, you can tell that they are far too agressive.

I think they will take the stance that they have a 8" ET40 Non-staggered set-up that works on the 1 Series that quite a few have purchased.

I think that is what they are trying to do. But in my emails I have blatently pointed out the 18x9 et 40 wheels that do not fit the rear of the Coupe and Convertible.
