Glad you like them!!!! I looked at 313 19s no dice on the offset... I had M# comp wheels all fronts to squeez them in and no dice.. I ended up giving those to my buddy who just got a new f30 328i and buying the VMRS.. They are super concave wider and just the look I was after..

Thanks for the compliment Tom.. I do my best to be fair..

here's mine didn't like black mirror caps on the white, looked to narrow so had them swapped to white also running PSS tires on the front and rear with a wider track much better hookup, otherwise she's stock.

I'm curious why the performance exhaust isn't on your car? That's the best part!

Wow, good eye, Greg. I think this is a 135i in the wrong thread as the emblem in the back doesn't look right either. But I don't think he meant to pass it off as a 135is here, so we'll cut him some slack.

Just ordered my 135is on Saturday. BSM, Black Leather w/ blue stitching, 6 speed MT, HK sound, Park sensors, Alarm.

Wanted to keep it under 50k, so I skipped the premium/tech packages. Plus I'm not a fan of the way the nav looks in the dash. I should be able to share photos in 6-8 weeks!

Now the agonizing wait...

Hey guys!

Pretty new to this forum, but looking fwd to getting some good info on the 'is' here. Got mine in June and loving it. It's Carbon Black (like my old M3 ), 6spd, tech pkg, comfort access, etc...

1 question: At idle, the car stutters every once in a while, where the RPMs will fall to a few hundred below baseline. Does that happen to anyone? I took it to the dealer because a Check Engine light came on, and after checking with BMW Corporate office or something, were finally able to perform the needed fix (which turned out to be something related to the ECU). The Service Adviser said that this would solve the stutter issue, but it never went away.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyway, on to the (really crappy phone) pics:

Current "mods" list:

Clear bra.

Future list:

Tint and rear diffuser to make the exhaust tips not stick out as far.

No BP!! Tis blasphemy! Ha!

Luckily, I think the IS looks amazing in basically every color. I definitely considered the carbon black as my second choice though. It's such a rich and interesting/dynamic color, pictures don't quite do it justice. I also might have considered a deep sea blue after seeing people's pics online, but that's something I would have had to have seen in person before ordering and good luck finding that.

D3mon - car looks great, congrats on joining our exclusive club. =)

You should talk to mb135is and see his recent pics of the BMW CF diffuser he recently put on, which looks amazing and got a good deal through one of the forum sponsors.

Thanks! I love the red interior on your car, especially with the grey

The 1 is awesome. I've had very little seat time in it so far, as I've only had it since mid to late May (I think I said June in my original post, but I think it was actually end of May), and I've only put 600 miles on it (I have a daily driver), but the thing is an absolute monster. The power is pretty much ridiculous, and I don't know why anyone would need more power on the street. It's just too easy to double the speed limit, and since it's so stable and well put together, you can hardly tell you're going so fast.

Overall, however, the car feels slightly more disconnected than the M. Keep in mind that I sold the M in 2008 (it was an e46 - 2003, 6 spd), and so it's been a while since I drove it, so my comparison is probably not the best.

There's just something about the naturally aspirated, high revving inline 6 of the M3 that was just intoxicating. The M3 was definitely the more visceral of the two. It just felt more raw, more mechanical, more connected to the driver.

The 1 is more torquey, for sure, and since I live at altitude, quite a bit faster than the M was.

Btw, how's the diffuser? Might be interested in getting one - See below.

Thanks for the impressions. That's my summary as well - e46 M is the more pointed drivers' car; 135is sacrifices some connection for everyday use.

I love the diffuser. Every time I look at it I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. It completes the car's look in my opinion.

I have the Carbon rear spoiler in the back seat awaiting install...just haven't got around to it yet...
I would love to hear the type of reactions you get from the public driving this sick looking combination.

DCT VS 6 Speed?

What's your thoughts on each one of them? I have never driven a manual car but heard it makes more sense to get the 6 speed versus the DCT on the "135is." Does the car respond very quickly to the shifter?

My car is a 6 speed; therefore, it reacts as quickly as I do. I agree that manual is the way to go, but I can't ignore how good and quick the DCT is for those who chose it. I'm stubborn and don't want anything but 6-speed.

Have any of you guys with an IS experience any power loss? I've been at a dead stop and hit the pedal to go and there was NOTHING for a few seconds then the car finally started bucking then got going. It's also happened when trying to make a pass on the freeway. Not cool! (has happened in D and DS mode) Taking the car to the dealer next week for this and some other issues. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nothing like it. Though once when I tried to accelerate from too slow a speed in second gear (6-spd), the car really didn't like it. Maybe you're experiencing a DCT issue?

DCT is hilariously fun!

Putting on another 1000+ miles in 3 weeks as vacation is over and going back to work.

After 6 weeks with DCT, will drive 135i w/6 speed when I get home to see which is more fun.

I have a feeling that they're both fun in their own special way
