▀▄ eas | Needs Your Help! Need a Test Car: 1 series Coupe/Convertible

eas needs your help! We're looking for local members (Orange County, CA) to help us out with some new products that we need testing for.

We would like any local members (Orange County, California) to come by to have your car for one full day of testing on new modules. We are trying to set up our new line of remoteKEY modules to retract and detract your convertible soft top with the press of a button.

We will offer free installation as well as the free product for the testing that we need to do.

This module will follow the same lines of the remoteKEY offered on the 3 series listed here:

remoteKEY window Control for 3-series (e9X) Coupe & Sedan
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1796

- Fully E13 tested and certified: E13 10R-02 4133
- Ultra-low power standby mode (less than 0.1mA)
- InstallAID™ LED shows correct installation and status
- Intuitive Setup menu for easy customization

Product Features:

- Remote window control: One-Touch operation of the windows and sunroof with the original remote on all models (US and Euro)
- Automatic door unlocking when ignition is turned off. Avoid having to pull the door handles twice to get out
- Comfort windows: All windows can be closed One-Touch with the wide "All-Windows" button in the driver's door.
- User programmable: The module can be individually enabled or disabled. All settings are retained even if the car battery is disconnected.
- Shop/Diagnose mode: If activated the module is completely passive, as if it was not installed at all. It becomes invisible to diagnostic tools.

We haven't forgot about you 1 series coupe guys. For further reference and more details on the product please check this link:

remoteKEY window Control for 3-series (e9X) Coupe & Sedan

Check these videos as well so you can visually see what we're talking about:

If you have any questions about testing, please feel free to email, PM or give me a call directly.

Only if you have comfort access.

I am interested in the final product as I do not have CA.

As soon as we can get a local Coupe and Convertible - we'll make that happen. :headbang:

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have the convertible. You can only open the windows/top with the remote if you have CA.

Pretty sure you can only open with the remote, not close. On Euro spec BMWs you can close the windows. We Americans, apparently, are too stupid not to close windows when people have their heads sticking out so we aren't allowed to have that feature.

Guys, It is a shame I'm a couple thousand miles away from socal. I'm very interested in how you make out with this project. I've got CA on mine, but if you can get the top to open from 20-30ft away I'm in!

<DELETE> I've also got a wish list item. I'd love to be able to one touch open and close the top using the interior buttons. Would make shifting a whole lot easier. I looked into it and gave up as soon as I figured out BMW used rather complex circuits for buttons and lights, and the 4 relays I had planned weren't going to cut it. </DELETE>

Product sounds great! Let me know if digital camera pictures could help you all out. I need this.

We're almost completed with the remoteTOP for the 1-series, info will be presented in a separate thread.

In the meantime, we're still in need of a coupe. If there are no takers, we may be getting our own in a couple of weeks.

I live in the 818 but I'm down in the 714 almost every weekend. If I stop by with my coupe for you guys to play with. Can I get a discount on a set of CLS?

Damn. I'm in SoCal all the time, but they only fly _me_ there, not the car. Grr. Because I would soooo be your guinea pig.
