Supersprint resonator delete on N55 midpipe

Was there ever a consensus if the Supersprint part would slip fit onto a cut N55 midpipe?

The Supersprint centre pipe 980913 (or the silenced version 980903) is not designed to fit with the OEM front pipes.
It's intended to go with the front pipe 980902/980912 (with or without cats).

This is true on the N54 and the N55 as well.

Yeineken, were you able to confirm whether or not this fits the stock mid-pipe & muffler?
BMW PE Y-pipe seems impossible to source, this would be a great alternative if it does in fact fit.

I have not due to time since I don't want to mess with it. I'm going to try this week actually since I'm off work and take it to an exhaust shop.
