His web show is actually called "The Smoking Tire".

Edit: I see that the title of the article is correct, just the text in the body of the post is incorrect.

Don't hold your breath. Maybe once the E30 M3 Evo is worth that much... and a decade or so after that.

I agree ^^^ this ... it be a long wait.

Besides (I'm thinking out loud again, don't mind me) by the time it is a classic we may have to haul it on a trailer to a special place to drive it ... there be laws by then to ban our cars from the road ... much like the cigarette story as taken us over the past 25 years

Well, I agree that the 'classic' car status probably wont equate to a great ROI here. Its a car and is going to depreciate like one at least for 20 some odd years or so.

As far as the car being banned from the road, I would simply say look back at what we have done with 25 year old cars presently. Cars from 1986 are still legal and grandfathered in. I strongly doubt that turbo charged gasoline based cars will be fully illegal and banned in twenty five years. Its probably more true that the cost to operate a car like the 1M will double or triple over this time period driving down the likely hood of it being driven.

I agree with all you say, I do have a e28 that soon will be 25 years old (next year in fact). I only fear that different groups of people/organizations will advance this time factor. This is why I mentioned cigarettes you know what I mean.

I guess in 25 years from now our cars will be so highly taxed that we no longer can afford to drive them only on weekends and special tracks.

The review is cool, but he seems a bit clueless about the car and it's options.

Is there no Google where he lives I wonder.

Z4sDrive35is... Funny how he made such a point about it and still got it wrong.

I used to like his reviews more before his involvement with The Car Show completely killed his credibility. Man, that show is almost as bad as Top Gear America.
