On 93 octane, PPK is +21hp and Dinan Stage 2 is +54hp. The peak torque difference is bigger, especially for 6MT, but I don't remember the numbers.

PPK v Tune

Is there a sense that the PPK is a better foundation than the Dinan Tune. Wouldn't the PPK make any tune better?

The cooling aspects would certainly make it better fitted for higher boost levels but I thought higher boost was part of the ppk.

I drove a track day at Laguna Seca. By the end of the day I managed to boil the brake fluid but the oil temps never got over 260F with the PPK. I never tracked the car pre-PPK so I cannot compare it personally but a few people have had reported overheating issues and limp mode issues at the track with stock cars. The boost gauge hit 12PSI on a moderately warm day.

Nice! Have you Dyno'd your ride? If so, hopefully you have a baseline also and can share stats.

I am also interested with PPK for two reasons:
1. Warranty issues.
2. I live in Miami and the extra cooling will be awesome for me..

Se Dan's link for his dyno results. Looks like it adds the 20hp BMW claims.

Thanks. Saw the dyno, looks very interesting. Gains throughout the powerband and doesnt seem to flatten out on top. I was looking for something like that. Noticeable gains, shouldnt strain the motor and warranty intact.

Thanks for posting it. I just printed it for future reference.
How much do you think the perf. ex. added? I was thinking about leaving the stock exhaust and just installing the PPK.
