Is this noise an indication of a bad turbo?

Hopefully the uploaded sound clip works for you guys.. I'm getting this "winding down" sound on my N54 whenever I let off the throttle from a higher RPMs.
Is this an indication of a bad turbo or something completely different?
I am not getting any error codes and did not notice any drop in power.

Doesn't sound like a bad turbo to me, usually you'll start to hear it howling/whistling like crazy from my experience when the bearings are starting to go. Do you have a cold air intake or is it factory?

Thanks Dack! I might just be overthinking this... I never noticed that particular sound before but then again, it's not that loud inside the cabin.

As with anything mechanical, I'm thinking if there is something going on, it will likely get worse rather quickly. I'll stay cautiously optimistic while keeping my eyes and ears open .
