Time for new wheels and tyres
Hey all it looks like my tires are getting really bad so it is good excuse for me to buy both new tires and wheels.
I am thinking of getting wheels from Jason @ Euro-Division, still not sure whether to get anthracite or matte black on my car any opinion? The tire that I was thinking of getting is the AD08 (225 & 255) but I am not sure if i will be rubbing as I am lowered (from memory is about 35-37mm front and back). I guess my question would if there are anyone running AD08 (and preferably with the wheels from euro-division) and is lowered. I only ask as I know the AD08 are wide tires Sorry if the question had been asked before as I couldn't find it VIA the search function. |

The offsets we have for GT-CX are 18x8.5 ET45 and 18x9.5 ET50.
On stock height you will have no rubbing issues. Slight lowering will be fine and of course tire brand matters a lot as some have rounder sidewalls than some other brands. |

Still researching on tyres and was wondering which one has a rounder sidewalk between pss and the starspec.
ATM I have got those 2 in mind, also heard the hankook v12 is pretty good and quite thin? |

After days of research I have concluded that it is quite difficult to find wheels that will fit decent tyres and not rub when you are lowered (PSS, StarSpec) without fender modification or negative camber
I am going to leave my wheels as stock for now... |

Michelins PS2/3/S seem to be the ones with quite rounded sidewalls. I've got PS2s on one of my other cars (245/40/18) and it's quite obviously rounded rather than a squared-off shoulder say an Advan Neova would have.
The high offset on 1ers seems to be the culprit for our limited options. The same problem existed with my Golf MkV and also our W204. Have u considered the two BMW Performance wheels or are they not to your liking? They have a high offset which may work with your drop? |

I thought about it but to be honest I prefer a CSL type wheel and I want it in black.
with the PSS I will need to roll my fenders with a 9.5 + 50 wheel and possible with 9.0 + 48 wheel. The only tires that might work are the Falken, Toyo T1R or the Hankook V12 and judging from reviews they are all pretty crap. The only wheel quote I haven't got yet are the Apex ARC-8 which I am waiting on. |
