Rear Map Light Removal Help

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear map light console or at least how to get the clear white light cover back on. I removed the cover but now i can't seem to get it to clip back on, am thinking i'll have to remove the whole unit to get it to clip on properly.
Have searched but can only find instructions on removing the rear map light which has a large plastic section attached to it, similar to the front. Mine looks like this:

Push on it from back towards front of the car and it will go down easy.

Ok have tried it but still no luck. Can any one confirm that it's towards the front of the car i have to push the surround (upwards if you are looking at the pic in my original post)
I can only find 'how to's' on the rear map lights that look like the pic below but seeing mine is different i'm wondering whether removal is different also.

Back to front as suggested, but as you push on it to attempt to clip it, try and "push it around the corner edges" if that makes sense. Dont just push up, push to try and get the edges of the plastic to go "around the edges" and itll eventually click in... mine took a bit of force. Aussie spec rear map lights are a bit different?

4:00 mins in.. Though it looks different, it should be the same concept. Try prying around the edges using a soft flat plastic tool.
