You are quite welcome, a it was a pleasure meeting you.
Glad you had a great time Chris. Sorry, we didn't have any 1's ready for you guys to drive. The 1's should be available for the track next week. We have to break the cars in the same way you guys do before they see any track time.

Make every day a great 1 !

Sweet, so do you think by June 5th there will be 1's on the track there? If not, I wouldn't mind a new M3

I think I should be offered the opportunity to do it again when the 135 is available!

(I figured it was worth a try!)

I think that by Tuesday the 27th there will be 2 available for use. Can't quote me on this but as long as there are 2 or less people taking delivery of a 1 then the 1's will be used. If there are 3 people taking delivery of a 1 then everyone will drive a 335 just to keep things fair.

Ray, so long as you're watching this thread..

If my car is on a boat arriving Charleston on 6/14, is there a chance it'd be ready for PCD later that week? Do you think there'll be any 1ers that week?

Roldan I truthfully cannot answer that question....yet. If you want to PM me your name I can check and see what the schedule looks like. Might take me a couple of days to get back to you though. I know that the PC has been operating at full capacity since we were virtually shut down for the entire month of April for the 1,M3, and X6 world launch.

Thanks,

Good luck. Mine finished production 4/22, and has been at the VPC for about a week already, my PCD is scheduled June 12..

The wait is starting to get to me but I guess the good news is there's a nice chance I'll get to drive a 1 on the track

Shoot.. just heard from my CA with a PCD date of July 8th. Huge bummer considering my car's at the port now and could likely be stateside almost a month earlier. Is it worth the extra wait?

My CA forwarded me an email from the Performance Center that said

Quote:
Based upon the production number of your customer’s vehicle, the only available date for Performance Center Delivery is 7/8/2008. They would arrive the evening before.

***Due to the overwhelming demand for Performance Center Deliveries, we are completely booked and this is the only available date that we can offer. If your customer cannot attend on this date, please complete a Cancellation Form which can be found on BMW CenterNet.

the PCD is rough right now. July has 100 bookings, so you gotta take what you can get. I could not take July 26th, I had to be pushed to the 31st.

take what you can get if you want to go! and your CAis right about the $500 it cost for PCD. The going rate for plane tickets for 2 to spartanburg

I'll be there this Thursday as well. Unfortunately, I won't be accepting delivery yet, just taking part in the M5 driving school. See you guys there!

I was with the group driving the M3, M5, and M6s around the track that day. What an incredible experience. Only at BMW...
