You know I like the new M3 but there was something about it that i couldnt put my finger on....now looking at that SGM M3 I realize that if it had looked like that I would have NOT bought a 135i, worked an extra six months over here and just bought it outright. That is one of the nicest looking ones i have seen anywhere..in person or on the net.

I passed on the option to buy an M3 because:

a. The stock M3 didnt stir my soul...LOL
b. Don't want to spend an extra 6 months in Iraq contracting
c. The 135i is 20k cheaper and almost as fast as the M3 0-90mph

If the new M3 had looked exactly like the SGM M3 in the pics above I would have seriously reconsidered...because that pic makes me drool:wink:

the m3 is a completely different car, anyone that compares them only on money is crazy

if they were the exact same price, or the m3 was cheaper, i would still buy the 135i, because it feels smaller, and better

Not crazy...not all of us have the money to pick and choose...so money is important to my list of cars I can viably purchase.
If they were the exact same price I would have taken the M3...sorry:iono:
And then if I were rolling in the dough gotten an 135i as my DD. And I think anyone who thinks the 135i is "better" than the M3 is crazy...good...yes....as good as overall....no. If the 135i had LSD and the suspension of the M then maybe just maybe..but right now an emphatic NO...

if the made an m1 or tiio I would be all over it, but that m3 is just too big for me, I could have bought one, but I can't get past it's size and big feel

I have no interest in the badge, Bmw has lost focus and turned a great sports car into gt car

I agree with you that it IS bigger now than previous generations of the M3. I can see how someone who wanted a smaller sized Sports Couple would be turned off. That is what I meant when I said that originally the new M3 didnt speak to my "soul". The the SGM one on here from Studie did immediately (still a bit big do...but a serious 'looker')

i dont think it's the clears. The high beam seems to have been replaced with a projector housing instead of a halogen housing.

the 135i's all come with xenons

the 128's come with halogen and can get the xenon upgrade
