Comfort Access stopped working after Batttery change

Hey so my battery died in my 09 BMW 135i M Sport. Since i have a massive wing i had to wait to remove it to replace the battery. In doing so we lost the bolt to tighten it to the terminal so we got a different connector to tighten it. However after changing the battery none of my comfort access works. The key fob has a new battery and the car wont detect the key unless i put it in the ignition. Im not sure what could be going on because all of my comfort access used to work fine. Anyone know what could be going on?
