Flat LSB?

Dont know much about painting, so this might be a really stupid question. Is there a way to paint a car Laguna Seca Blue, but have it be flat instead of glossy? I know at home depot they can give you whatever color you want with quite a few degrees of gloss, just wondering if its the same for cars.

Thanks.

I would imagine it's possible.

For example:

Just have to find the right shade to match LSB.

Sure you can paint a car any color and gloss. Do you really want to spend 3k to 5K euros for a good paint job? BMW Exclusive charges 5K euros - but the 1M does not qualify for that program,

There are many plces in Germany that can wrap a car (in a foil) for as little as 1,300 euros. Normally a good wrap job runs about 1/3 the cost of a good paint job. FYI just about every beige taxi cab over here is a wrap job! lol

Wow, i didnt realize paint would be that much. I guess I will have to take a closer look at a taxi next time im down town. Ive always been skeptical about wraps, I guess i just dont see how it could look good on the more intricate curves of the car without wrinkling or bubbling up.

definatly something to look into though. at least i have VAT forms.

I thought that the flat paint look is not acheived by using flat paint, but is acheived by the type of clear coat that is used??

There are matte clear coats available to protect flat painted cars, however the look will not be as flat as a flat painted car w/o clearcoat.

Some of the custom community use a product similar to Hot Rod Flatz, not sure about color mix capability etc....

Just don't add any flames to the fenders
