Flares - a thought

Knowing that the 1M body pieces are slowly ceasing production, has anyone looked into solutions like this company? It beats the fiberglass options and seems reasonably priced

Ulterior Motives Big Cartel

Sorry - cant get the pictures to work

Replace asterisks with "big cartel", no space.

They're just weld-on flares. $425/pair with long lead times and I'm sure a pain to fab considering how high our bumpers run on the wheel-well. I'll stick with my ABS.

Hadn't heard about the M panels going out of production. Usually takes more than 6 years post production end, more like 10-20. Where did you see that?

On topic, not a fan of universal kits. This doesn't look like it would match the lines of our cars at all. Would look nice on e36 and earlier though. Wouldn't metal be a nightmare on our plastic bumpers and skirts too? Clinched has a revised e82 kit that looks decent.

I didn't realize Clinched had a revised kit. Just took a look at it, and I like it.

It's really growing on me. Also, with it being ABS, I think it could be successfully molded to the body for a clean look. Wonder what wheels would work for a balanced setup. 295f/315r tires could be cool. Offsets would be super low.

I actually sent them an email earlier when i looked at the kit asking what wheels and tire sizes work. Will report back.
