Watch the videos of Chris Bangle & Adrian Van Hooydonk making comments on designs of 3er, 5er, 6er, 7er, X3 & Z4.

This guy has been criticised since he began with BMW but you have to admit his persuasive abilities are fueled by energy.

Bangle has reached a "love him or hate him" status in the automotive world. While some don't like his designs or thinking for that matter, you can't dispute the impact he's had on the results from a sales standpoint. BMW had it's highest sales totals ever last year and I believe they are on pace to break that record this year. Not to mention the new models with "bangle butt" from other companies that are starting to appear.

I have lived through the evolution and loved the 3-series way back since the late 70s. I'm glad the 3-series is still a 3-series, unlike the Ford T-Bird, Chevy Nova, or other cars that keep changing the concept of what they are and represent. |

Bangle is a "GAWD" and to think he's an american, maybe if GM had hired him he could have made a real Caddy that could compete.....but hey he would have been laughed at by the all knowing gods at the worlds biggest company.....My kfor dream team....BOB LUTZ CEO, CHRIS BANGEL, head of world wide design....

Adrian van Hooydonk designed the latest generation 7-Series, so he is the man to blame or thank for initiating the line of new designs, although Bangle, in his role as design director, helped realize that vision. To me, both are brilliant designers.
