Looking for feedback on some N55 mods

I am considering doing some mods. Currently have Dinan S2 software and Berk Street Axelback. I don't track mine just like to have fun

Mid pipe purely to add a little more growl to the exhaust. Wondering what would be the best option? Berk? Could it cause me drone?

Down pipe, a little more HP would be a good thing right? Again, Berk?

Intake, purely for sound and asthetics. Most of the designs I've seen are just going to draw more hot air. So was thinking BMS. Saw AF-e and Igen have one but for twice the cost and unless the build quality is vastly superior then from what others have reported the BMS would do the trick. I wonder though, could it actually cause the car to run hotter? oil temp on mine seems to hover around 250-255. Hard to tell with that guage.

Charge Pipe, since I have a S2 flash I'm thinking this would be more of a precautionary mod than one that would produce/hold boost.

Anyway would love to hear what you guys that worked or didn;t for that matter.
Thx

If you drive hard, pulling in a gear or in multiple gears, a FMIC will make a difference with the Dinnan tune. Any of the top FMIC's will work. My IAT's were reduced significantly with a simular setup to you.

I uploaded two saved files, hopefully it will show the difference between Dinnan S2 with a stock intercooler and with an aftermarket Intercooler.

135s have a stock oil cooler and its so not necessary for a car that doesn't see track time.

I have the BMS intake on my n55, couple of notes:

It uses stock air box so there's no real difference in intake temp. Air is still pulled through the duct work from the front kidney grills. Not having the top of the box on is a minimal difference there.

N55 engine sounds amazing with the intake. The diverter valve is much louder than stock but not over powering or obnoxious. I am very pleased with it.

A word of caution: it threw a code, P2177. I went back to stock air box and took it to dealer, they replaced MAF sensor. It hasn't came back on yet. I talked to Terry BMS and he was unaware of that code or the reason behind it. I might have been a fluke in timing of install or some weird coincidence.

I also have AR Downpipe and it's amazing. Can't say enough about it.

Currently don't have any other exhaust mods done but from what I've herad and read--Berk is the way to go.

Good Luck and Happy Modding!

To be fair, neither is a fmic.

Yes, but you will see measurable power output capability with the FMIC. That can't be said with the oil cooler

yep I think I'll get the BMS, looking into the AR down pipe as well.
Great info.

Thanks

thought about the intercooler, no doubt it would imporve performance but was concerned about voiding the Dinan warranty. the reason I went with Dinan was for the warranty.

ehhh... a little. having had s2 with the AA fmic, it was a little bump, i liked it, then I swapped it all out for the hardparker awesomeness in my sig. I really should sell that AA sport fmic, though.

order of importance for me would be fmic, charge pipe, oil cooler, brake pads/fluid for a DD you push a bit.
