Axleback + Catless DPs = How loud?
So I already have an axleback, and now I want some downpipes. My exhaust isn't overly loud...just a little drone around 2200RPM. Obviously "loud" is a subjective term, but everyone knows how annoying a droning exhaust is. So who has this combo and how loud is it? Thanks!

it depends. With an already loud axleback (afe, berk), adding catless downpipes will be pretty loud, but with quieter axlebacks (maddad, bmw performance) it should sound pretty nice.

IMO aFe's isn't LOUD but that's because of the cats, so if I ran catless dp's there would still be the secondary cats. Would it be REALLY loud?

Depends on the axleback. If you have a Berk or one of the copies of the Berk then it will be loud. If you have a axleback with a muffler and they use quality packing materials and have adequate internal volume then it'll sound pretty good.

It's pretty loud in general, but the noise isn't really offensive outside of the natural resonance around 2100-2300rpm. In that zone it is very boomy inside the cabin. You can work around that though, once you're used to it. |
