Supercar Sunday Lives!
Good news for those of us that enjoyed Supercar Sunday. It's on again!
Here's Dustin's post from Ferrari chat. -Doug ************************************************** ************** Supercar Sunday is back and is here to stay. This Sunday and every Sunday! The location is the Topanga Westfield Promenade on the corners of Topanga cyn and Erwin. The times are from 7am to 10am. I have worked very hard to make this happen and Tony Schwartz and Harry Grey from the LA Auto Gallery played a most important role in this come to life. They wanted the event back for the community and stepped up in a major way. THANK YOU TONY, HARRY AND THE LA AUTO GALLERY. I would also like to thank Westfield for the opportunity and the new relationship. Guys, we have a home on Sundays where we are wanted, where we can be! The location is great, there is a Corner Bakery that opens at 7am for all of your coffee and dining needs. Also, The Auto Gallery will be buying coffee for everyone! Thats right! Free regular coffee thanks to the Auto Gallery. I will get www.supercarsunday.com back up and running with all the information, event updates, calendar and Sponsors. I hope you all can come and support this event and help us get it back to where it was. I would also like to stress that this could not have happened without the AUTO GALLERY! Please help spread the word! Thank you all and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone and having a lot of fun! All the best, Dustin Connected Media Group 818.516.5053 |

No rain predicted until later on in the day. I'll be there tomorrow morning for the inaugural meet.

What a turnout! The new location works great and we don't have to worry about being shut down. Highlights were a Porsche 997 GT3 RS, Audi R8 V10, Lambo Murcielago SV, Merc SL65 Black Series, CLK GTR, CLK63 Black Series, F430 Scuderias aplenty, Caterham Superlight R, and Bruce Meyer's ultra-rare and nearly priceless '57 Ferrari 250 TR. Supercar nirvana!

Thanks for those - some great cars last week. This week I found a few that I really enjoyed. Next month, I'm going to go a little later. I was there just after 7 and there weren't many cars there. Plus it was rather chilly so I could only stay so long. I think 8AM is a better goal.

I love this place!
I saw another AW 135 there, but didn't see the driver. I'm assuming that was you, xbook?
Some beauties out there today... The V-10 R8 ZR1

Nice pics. It was a good show yesterday, so great to see so many people turn up. I had the honor of following my favorite car to the event, a Red 1954 300SL, that is one of the most beautiful examples of that vehicle I have ever seen. To be able to follow it on the 101 for 3 or 4 miles made me feel like I was in the Mille Miglia Here are some of the pics I took: That's my dad's MDX and buddy's M6 parked around you Former, that you? There were 3 AW 135s in the parking lot, but I only got a pic of this one and mine together. The 300SL I followed on the way to the show. A 1929 Bugatti race car A replica of a 1953 prototype Chevy. Guy was from Spokane, drove the car from there.

CAUTION ... forgot to mention this...
My girlfriend and I went out later in the day. We were both bored, didn't know what to do, so we headed into the canyons. On Mulholland Hwy, we saw 4 freaking CHPs. FOUR!!!! We have run those canyons constantly, and have never seen such a huge presence. And NONE of them had their radars on. It was like they were just out there to slow folks down.

Yup, that Montego Blue is me. Also quite dirty, but with the rains lately I haven't had the will to wash. It's supposed to rain now for another 3 days at least. Sigh.
Great pictures by the way. I wish I would have seen that F40. I was driving into the event and saw 4 CHPs sitting along the 101 between Thousand Oaks and Calabasas. Needless to say, I was cautious with my speed on the way back home, though not everyone was quite so conservative. As I drove past the Lost Hills on ramp (a bad place to speed since that's also the exit where the sheriff station is), a motorcycle decided to bolt past me at 80+ and was pulled over by the CHP sitting on that on ramp. I've seen lots of cops out most Sundays when I'm headed to Cars and Coffee. I suspect it has more to do with end of month quotas than anything. Combine that with the budget woes in CA and I've been very conservative with my speeds lately. Not sure if you saw the other two 300SLs. I put a shot of the black one in my previous post, but there was also a silver. Those are really some gorgeous cars.

Yo former,
That silver one is owned by Colonel Bob. He is a regular at Supercar Sunday. The guy also owns 2 or 3 CLK-DTM as well. 1 convertible and at least 1 coupe, maybe 2. He's an old test pilot, VERY interesting man. Also very approachable and cool too.
