Question race fuel???

I have a Dinan Stage 2010 makes 329 hp to the wheels and 374 ft lbs tq I tried VP 109 octane race fuel (5 gallons mixed with the rest 90 octane) this should net about 98 octane which is what Dinan says the car will get the most out of the tune. I used two tanks of the mixture ($80 each) to allow for the car to adjust to the new fuel. The result was a loss of 7hp and 17 ft lbs of tq. The best they can figure is that the race fuel burns slower than pump gas. Any thoughts

It sounds like the tune doesn't recognise the added octane.
Or it might be time for some new sparkplugs.(Bosch 2GR6STE2 $66)
