FS: START/STOP Rings are HERE!

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
The rings were a lot more difficult and way more time consuming than I could have imagined. The results I believe are totally worth it. I made the company that manufactured theses things re-do them at least 5 times till we got something that turned out perfect. The lettering in it's final production ended up being raised and matte(bead blast finish). This finish has less glare and has a more expensive feel/appearance IMO. I do have some of the high gloss raise and indented text as well if anyone is interested. The indented ring looks pretty good but some of the lettering bled together which was avoided with the raised. The raised is more visible and legible as well.

Like I said before, this is not something I was doing to make any kinda of money, but would like to break even for my time and expense, so I want to give everyone interested all three options at no extra cost and let them try out which one they prefer in their cars.

PayPal $49.99 including shipping to novisad242@yahoo.com.

*Also email me your name and shipping address to novisad242@yahoo.com once you have paid so I can forward it to my wife to package and ship to you. *In the subject line put "START RINGS" as well.

Here is the DIY for the install: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=688421

Thanks for your patience, I hope you guys like the rings!

EDIT: The rings are very difficult to photograph well. The above picture show pretty accurately what the color looks like in the context of the interior. Here is a few more I just took at lunch time with the matte trim piece right next to the stitching itself. I could literally take 1000 pictures and get 1000 variations of the color. Not to mention your computer monitors color settings will vary. You can also see the back of the trim piece will look exactly like the OEM trim on our cars as well. I hope this helps.

What Has Metak Got In It's Pocketsesssss??????

My Preciousssss!!!!!

Also, just so everyone is clear. This isn't a "sales" thread per se. Metak planned to do this for himself all along and offered to design, coordinate production and provide these items AT COST to ANY AND ALL 1M OWNERS.

AFIK, he does alright for himself without having to make a living making colored starter rings.

So, thank you once again. I'll be sending you some money when I get home tonight.

These looks like iPhone pics in questionable light.

I've got faith.

You can see it if you look hard. Most passengers/people would not notice. The "Li" and the "it" in the indented version do touch and blend together. I wasn't 100% happy and thought some might take issue with it so they did the letters raised and the lettering came out perfect. It has to do with the order in which the tooling and polishing took place.

Sure, I can take more pics. The color is a very good match for the existing stitching. Sometimes cameras can make the color look off in various lighting conditions. I tried to get good crisp close up shots that showed the quality of the lettering which was not an easy task.

No problem, I figured it would be easier to just add some more photos and explain here. I wasn't ignoring your PM. The rings are very difficult to photograph well. The above interior picture shows pretty accurately what the color looks like in the context of the interior. I added a few more I just took at lunch time with the matte trim piece right next to the stitching itself. I could literally take 1000 pictures and get 1000 variations of the color.

Not to mention everyones computer monitors color settings will vary.

Sorry if the color of the initial pics threw some of you for a loop, I added some more pics per EINSER M's request. Orders are coming in anyways. I'm not sure I will make anymore given the difficulty to please some individuals. I may consider doing a matte gray with the raised lettering if I can get at least 30 people to email me at novisad242@yahoo.com. I don't want to use the PM box here as it gets filled up quite quickly as it is....

I like your work, I would love one but the 1 of 740 kills it for us out-of-the-US 1M peoples.

Great work, jealous!

Thank you.

(Suggestion for purchasers - including a couple of $$ to cover his PayPal fees would be a nice gesture.)

Good luck and thanks.
