Question About Freight Charges ...

One option a dealer has offered me is to wait for a demo car, which I might be open to, but my question is since the dealership is using the vehicle as a demo (in a sense its a used vehicle) ... should I have to pay freight charges?

I don't think you will get around paying destination fee on the car, but I wouldn't buy a demo car unless it was at a SIGNIFICANT discount.

These cars are basically abused by everyone driving because they want to see what the car is capable of. You should be cognizant of this and at least be compensated for it by getting a big discount, freight or no freight.

Errr, I meant more along the lines of flooring the throttle, slamming the brakes, and generally testing the full potential of the car as much as possible on street driving.

My dealer had a 2004 530 demo that was discounted about 8000 bucks. It had 8000 miles on it and you could tell it had been 'used.' I would rather buy a used car from one person than a demo car. At least with a one owner used car you can interview the seller and get a feel for how he/she treated the car. You want to be very careful when shopping for demo cars and rental car returns.
