Did my post break-in oil change today

And took it above 4500rpm for the first time. This car is really too fast to have much fun on public roads.

My dealer claimed I didn't have to do any post break-in oil change :iono:

you don't have to, some do though for peace of mind however (i am one of those who do)

they always claim that, but oil tests show they are still required, especially on the 135i

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

This link is for a discussion about analysis on a 335i's oil in which they discuss for a page that the boron level is high before concluding that Mobil 1 has boron as an additive. It proves nothing.

I really dont think you read the analysis at all

flashpoint = fuel contamination a byproduct of direct injection

I think yearly changes are fine for non boosted engines, but not for boost + direct injection
