chain on M47N2? Its possible?

Hi! i got a problem with my BMW 120D E87 M47N2
I heard something in my parking and it was my car so i went to mechanic and he doesnt know what it could be
I posted the sound on youtube i hope some1 can help me

It's difficult to notice much more than normal diesel engine sound from the video.
If it helps, the timing chain on the M47 is at the front whereas the chain on the N47 is at the transmission end - that might help to pinpoint the noise because the video is of the rear end of the engine

yeh.. the sound is still there.. i know the chain seems fine by now but i cant know where the sound came from... also went to BMW and they dont know

I don't have much info about M47 diesels, but on the N47 the timing chains are replaced only if the measured length is over the specified limits. When an N47's timing chain is about to pop, it's much more noticeable even at idle than what your engine sounds like in the video. It doesn't sound weird to me, tbh.

Find a reputable independent mechanic instead of BMW.
