Programming Modules
Hey guys,
Wondering if any one around brisbane can code modules? or even someone who can do it via remote access. I downloaded all the stuff I think I needed to do it. But I have no freaking idea. Basically my comfort access module got wet and I needed to replace it. Also my PDC module. Now they are replaced, they still don't work obviously. So I think I need to code the modules to my VIN and CAS. Where can I talk to for this to get done? I'm not sure if I can get my head around how to do it without some pretty direct instructions. |

Is the CAS module brand new or used?
You might run into issues if your replacement CAS was used... If you need any help to start coding i'd be able to help you out. Have you got a good USB-OBD cable and NCSExpert? |

Awesome. Can you confirm that your Cable Driver has been installed properly, and that it can connect to the car? Have you tried the INPA Airbag test?

Coding just requires it to be "coded out". Right software, cable and a bit of computer know how is all you need. Its just one wording change in the coding for a Idrive disclaimer remove.

101Duck What exactly is wrong with your CAS and PDC modules? I take it your PDC obviously isnt working but what are the symptoms of your CAS not working?
I would of thought that if your CAS is broken, the car won't start and won't accept your key at all... Possibly the car won't even unlock itself |

No he wasn't trying to charge anything. He said he couldn't do it without the code. He had just finished coding in a new battery by the way. And this is Lance at Coorparoo as well. Pretty well the go to guy for all after warranty BMW work, upgrades and tuning. Sadly no, I don't have ncsexpert etc. |

I replaced the PDC module with second hand item, same with CAS. The PDC now registers but shows an error on the dash (with the full of water module it was simply doing nothing) with the PassiveGo, obviously it didn't work full of water, the new module isn't coded to the Body control module (CAS?) so needs to be coded and then the keys learned I think. The key still works in the slot, car registers it is there and will start. But the passive go features (remove central locking, auto unlock and lock, start without key in IGN etc) don't work at all. I have to lock and unlock the car with the key slot in the drivers door. Many annoying. |

Sorry if i'm being blunt but did you replace the CAS module or not? Above you said that you hadn't replaced the CAS Module.
Also get your battery tested/replace because apparently the car will disable convenience access features if the battery is weak. And if your boot was flooded that might not be a good thing for the battery. Try these things: In INPA - clear your error memory from PDC Module and CAS In NCSExpert - in expert mode, perform job "SG_CODIEREN" on CAS, FRM, [CIC, RAD or RAD2 - whichever one you have] and PDC module. |

I dont think that the passive go modules are programmable, rather that they are programmed by the CAS module to which they are wired to. |

I can recommend someone who can do it remotely for you, he's based in Europe though.
PM if required. |
