Windshield/headlamp washers stopped working...
If this is the least troublesome thing I have to worry about after having driven the car 2k+ miles in less than a week, then I'm even happier with the little bugger than I was before, but does anybody have any ideas how to fix this? Couldn't find jack shit searching three diff forums, but I have to believe I'm not the only one who has had this problem.
Obv, there's plenty of fluid, and no warnings of any kind... Blown fuse? The car was owned for all 45k of its original miles in AZ, so I can't imagine they got used much, but I barely used them on the way home (7-8 times, max) Are all the fuse boxes/SAMS behind the glove box like the manual says? Thanks in advance! |

You may or may not be aware, but I believe the headlight washers only work with the headlights are on (either manual or automatic mode).

Could also be just the fluid getting a little low?
As the level goes down, the headlight washers will stop working before the low fluid level light comes on. Tried filling up the washer fluid? |

A guy on another forum actually suggested that the washer fluid might just be frozen, and sadly, he was right. Once it thawed out, I sprayed it all out of the reservoir (in smaller intervals, so as not to burn up the motor), filled it with -30F fluid, and it's been good since.
I didn't know about the headlight washers only working with the headlights on - that might be good to know for troubleshooting later on. Do you have to specifically trigger them somehow, or is just every 2nd or 3rd press of the washer fluid stalk, like on older BMWs? |

+1. AND they only work the first time you use the washers. Then I think every "five pulls" the headlight washers work.

The headlight washers might be on some kind of timer or something. Seems very random on when they come on. Good thing they don't come on every time, man this car eats washer fluid. I am on my third CASE already this winter.
