when backing up...

my dealer told me that when I put the car in reverse the passenger side mirror is supposed to angle down so I can see the curb. The switch is in the left position and it is not working. This is supposed to be a standard feature correct? I have a 06 325i with no packages except heated seats. Shouldnt I still have this feature?

hmm, maybe it only comes with the premium package?
or maybe it is a programmable option?

No its not a premium package only in the US.
If you use some logic/basic engineering...you will see that you can only have the tilting mirrors if you have Power Seats with Memory...whether by itself or with the Premium Package.

I thought that it is a part of the sport package.

I don't know how they configure the E90 for other markets, but I have folding exterior mirrors and NO electric seats. However, my passenger-side mirror does tilt down when I engage reverse . In my case, it is part of the exterior mirror package.

Just a side note, the mirror adjustment switch needs to be in the left position for the tilting feature to work.

in US market cars, u only get that feature with the power seats w/ memory. that's why all 330s have it because power seats come standard. if your 325 has either the power seat option or the premium pkg (which includes power seats as part of the pkg) then you will have the feature too.

Sweet, i noticed the other day it was not tilting down when i put car into reverse and didnt know why, but it was positioned on the right as if to change right mirror direction! Cant wait to test it now.

Also, i turned all of my interior lights off for when i enter the car at night because i dont like the bright lights/dont need them on, but i think they have turned off my outside door handle lights, do you know how to turn them back on? I miss them, they were a cool feature :rocks: Thanks!
