Hello - I am new and in Australia

Hello there from me in Australia

I am new to the 135i, I have yet to buy one as only just sold my MR2 Turbo today.

MR2 Turbo is a great car that pulls harder than a 12 year old who discovered internet porn and handles like a go kart but its just too long in the tooth ( like me ) and at my age I decided I look like a complete middle aged dick in a small red sports car,

I look forward to listening to advice and learning from veterans of the 135i

If I may I would like to ask whether I would be better of with a steptronic or manual as I will convert to a single turbo kit in the pursuit of 700+ horses, which gearbox will be able to cope

Feedback will be appreciated

Also I didn't realise FBO meant Full Bolt Ons

I thought it meant Full Balls Out

Thank you

Welcome!!

I like your definition of FBO better btw

With auto trans you will have a problem once torque hits over 500-550

Speaking of definitions, MR2 = mid engine, rear wheel drive, 2 seater (one variation).

Good luck in your search for a 135i.

Welcome!! The car looks great! Did you buy it?? I definitely like your FBO definition better lol.

Manual trans will suit you better for high-HP applications but you'll still need to upgrade clutch and such

My brother and his pals had turbo Mr2's. Fast but people tend to crash them lol. Used to win a lot of street (shhhh) races back in the day. Very unique car so small so powerful.

Had one of the early MR2s in 1987. Red, black leather, T-Bar roof. Loved it. Miss it.
I just joined the 135i owners club too - welcome.
